Cell Phone Number Lookup Services Can Find That Mysterious Number

Everyone finds a mysterious phone number on their caller ID, cell phone or phone bill at one time or another.  Normally these are wrong numbers, but if you keep seeing the same number come up over and over, perhaps it is time to find out who is calling.

In the old days of land line phones, it was pretty easy to go the phone company website and do a reverse search for that number.  As long as the number was published, you could normally find out who the owner of the number was.

Today, most people use cell phones – and that has made the process of doing cell phone number lookups harder.  Cell phone numbers are now portable – people can keep their number when changing cell phone providers.  So now we have a large group of numbers that are not listed in the traditional phone directories.

So how do you do a cell phone number lookup?  It is easy now with some of the advanced web sites that are on the Internet today.  You will notice that many of the sites advertise that you can look up your number by doing a lookup for free.  These free offers are there to attract you, but to get the number you want, you are going to have to pay a nominal fee.

The companies that run these cell phone number lookups have to maintain a large and growing database of numbers.  This database is constantly changing, and that takes time, and money.  So don’t assume you will be able to get your number for free – it is going to cost you a small fee.

There are many web sites that offer this service – make sure the site you use is tested and recommended.  Avoid scam sites that promise too much for too little – you will get what you pay for.  Stick to the reputable sites and you’ll be successful.

Don’t get scammed by cell phone number lookup that don’t deliver; we tested the most popular services: more information.

I Get This Number On My Caller Id, Why?

Sometimes people find themselves hard to detect where a suspect is based or to discover if their wife or husband is betraying them. To find whose phone number belong to, reverse phone look up is a simple way to determine if there is any trust in your relationship. When you look up for the term ‘reverse phone’ on google, you will see sites and services that offer a solution for free in their advertising. Unfortunately, many of these email lookup services are scam. Any answer to genuinely use their services for free?

So what will they show you when you go to these various services in the search engines? Usually they will take you to a web site that will require some basic information. They will ask you for a phone number and information such as this. When you put in the information of that person your searching for, it will send you to a page that fundamentally says for a small charge they have what you want.

The most delicious way is to  use Yahoo!. If you have a cellphone number of that somebody, but you do not acknowledge who they are or where they live, go to the Google search engine and place your number in. This will often give the data you are looking for. While this is not a one hundred percent solution to reverse phone lookup, it does handle some info for those that are listed. Those people that are not listed are probably not going to be found in any FREE reverse cell phone lookup service either. However there are exceptions to this, as some of the paid reverse phone lookup services are worthwhile. Those that are trusted can be very important in getting data.

Believing anything from web site directories and ads is uncool these days. With all spam sites that are out there, you must be protective about the site you search. Be sure who you hand your information, or you may quickly find out your computer is full of virus at best.

Free reverse phone lookup services are generally just means to draw you to sign up for a service. They grant you to verify the most introductory information and then tease you with the fact that they have the info you need. What they will never say to you is that the data is often way of no use, or it one of someone else altogether. Many people out there have the same first name and so on. So the number they have may just be of another person.

In my review I’ve learned one service that is legitimate, the way it operates is uncomplicated you put down a phone number into the search box, check your results and pay to receive full results.VISIT HERE to Reverse Lookup The Real Owner of That Number

How to keep a private number private?

I just had a phone line installed at my house, I have it unlisted, and also caller id blocked, so I show us as private, or annonymous when I call someone with caller ID. Last night I had two phone calls from telemarker who not only called my home, also had my name. How is that possible, and how do I stop it. Thanks

Remember to try though, as you never know what will come up.

Phone numbers are identifying in many ways. They can tell someone where we live and even what type of phone service we have. If you have a number listed through residential phone service, your name probably appears on caller ID when you make a call, unless of course you have asked to have that information blocked. However, most other types of numbers are going to be harder to trace when calls are placed.

Free tools for reverse phone search are everywhere. You just have to know where to find them. There are a variety of sites that have free lookups that you can use. The white and yellow pages have them, and many sites known as people searches have them as well. You can even see if the search engines that you use the most can work as a backwards phone search if you wish. Try them all to see what you find.

You may have to think about other sources if the above do not work. If there is something that you can do in life, you can usually find a way to do it online as well. People have always connected on a personal level this way, but they do so now in a more organized fashion through social networks. What you may not know is that there are such networks for professionals, and those that use them often leave numbers as contact info. Use that to your advantage and search them for some information.

Some sites have a free type of reverse cellular search that can give you some details, but not all, about a phone number. What you can get is the name of the service provider, the area from which the contract comes, and confirmation that the number is mobile or landline. When you have to know more, these same sites can point you to a more detailed source for information.

Can the average person called ID spoof either their landline or cell phone number to show unknown caller.

I seem to get these unknown caller numbers all the time. I suspect they are coming from people that live in my neighborhood. I do not believe they want me leaving the house for some reason. Just last week two women appeared at my neighbor’s house and right when they left I received unknown caller numbers. I had blocked what I believe were the sources of the Unknown Callers and they stop just to test the theory. As soon as I unblock the numbers, I started getting unknown callers. However, when you pick up these numbers they appear to be debt collectors. There is always a hesitation when they call almost as if someone has to turn on the tape recorder after they know someone has picked up. In addition, when one of my family members lives the house we received unknown callers. Does anyone know why this is happening? What type of legal issues could result in this type of invasion of privacy? I believe that the source is a woman that lives in our neighborhood that works at a local financial company were I live. I believe that she is scared because she believes that I have stumble into some illegal activities going on in the neighborhood regarding a plant. I believe her and others in the neighborhood feel as if I will go to the authorities.

Reverse Phone Number

So you got an obscene phone call from someone. There’s breathing on the line, or they curse or they even start demanding sexual favors. Gross. Your first reaction might be to call the police. The trouble is that the police often won’t do anything unless you know who it is or they are constantly calling you. Or maybe you saw a number on the caller ID and you want to know who it is. Often times, you could get a call from a bank and not know that’s who called.

The reason is that a great many phone numbers today are based on outgoing calls only. You could call the number back and not be able to speak to anyone because the number was an outgoing call. What you really need to do is a reverse phone lookup.

So what is reverse phone lookup anyway? It’s actually a very simple concept. If you dial 411 and ask for a number for someone, they will ask for the name and address of the person that you wish to look up. The trouble is that when you call them if all you have is a phone number and no name or address, you can’t find out who it was. But there are special web sites where you can punch in the phone number and they will tell you who called you. It’s the reverse of dialing 411, so it’s called reverse call lookup.

A simple Google search for reverse phone lookup will get you lots of web sites with all kinds of results available. Most of the services will however charge a fee. Some charge a  fee per service for every time that you check a number and others offer you unlimited lookups for a certain amount of time. There are a handful of them which are free as well, but I have found that the directories they can help you lookup are not quite as comprehensive.

You can also find all kinds of other services where you will be able to find additional information about the person who called you, including public records, things like bankruptcies, divorce, all kinds of stuff. You should be aware however that this information, while it is publicly available may not necessarily be used for public purposes since it could be considered slander if you make it public. Consult an attorney if you need further information on this.

As for reverse phone lookup, just check your favorite web browser. There are plenty of sites available with the nformation.

Phone number on the bill?

If you dial *67 before calling someone’s cell phone to block your number from their caller ID, will they still be able to see where the call came from when their bill comes in? I know if you choose to receive an itemized bill, all numbers dialed and received will show up, so I wondered if my number would show up anyway even though I blocked it when I placed the call.
