Can the average person called ID spoof either their landline or cell phone number to show unknown caller.
I seem to get these unknown caller numbers all the time. I suspect they are coming from people that live in my neighborhood. I do not believe they want me leaving the house for some reason. Just last week two women appeared at my neighbor’s house and right when they left I received unknown caller numbers. I had blocked what I believe were the sources of the Unknown Callers and they stop just to test the theory. As soon as I unblock the numbers, I started getting unknown callers. However, when you pick up these numbers they appear to be debt collectors. There is always a hesitation when they call almost as if someone has to turn on the tape recorder after they know someone has picked up. In addition, when one of my family members lives the house we received unknown callers. Does anyone know why this is happening? What type of legal issues could result in this type of invasion of privacy? I believe that the source is a woman that lives in our neighborhood that works at a local financial company were I live. I believe that she is scared because she believes that I have stumble into some illegal activities going on in the neighborhood regarding a plant. I believe her and others in the neighborhood feel as if I will go to the authorities.
Post a comment below...How does one block their number from appearing on called ID of the person being called ?
Someone I used to work with and has my phone # was calling regularly – I have called ID on my work phone, and I think they figured out I was screening their calls, so all of a sudden their number no longer appears on my caller ID
Is there anything I can do, or do they “Got Me” ?
By the way, when my wife calls from home, because we have unlisted number, her number doesn’t show up, so I have to pick up the phone in case it’s urgent
I'm eager to hear your comments...I blocked my number, but the person called back. How is that possible?
I received a disturbing phone call from an unknown caller, but the number showed on my caller ID. I pressed *67 and dialed the number back to see who was calling. When they answered, it was some collection agency, so I said I’d dialed the wrong number and hung up. A minute later, they called back. How is that possible? What type of device did they use to get my number even though I had blocked it?
Post a comment below...if i called my phone company to track a prank caller’s phone number a few minute ago and block their line from?
my phone line, is it possible? because i dont know whether their number is private or not. i dont have caller ID. i am not asking for the phone company to give me their number, just to block it.
it was not just a day, they’ve called weeks ago maybe 10 times. i just ignored it because they were children and i figured they’ll probably quit it by now.
opps edit: i meant>>>i dont need their number, just to have it blocked from my line.
